Troubleshooting broken download links

Goal

Fix a download that won't open or shows a broken link — a chat transcript, an exported file, or a generated document/image.

Try these in order

  1. Refresh the page and try the download again. A refresh clears most temporary glitches.
  2. Allow downloads / pop-ups for box.boodle.ai. A browser pop-up or download blocker can silently stop a file from opening. Check your browser's site permissions.
  3. Try a different browser. If a download fails in one browser, a different one (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) often works.
  4. Clear your cache and cookies, then retry (see Clearing your cache and cookies).
  5. If it's a generated file (e.g., something the AI produced), regenerate it and download the fresh copy.

Good to know

The AI creates one downloadable file per message. If you asked for several files and got one, ask for the next file in your following message.

Verify it's working

  • The file opens or saves normally after retrying in a clean browser with downloads allowed.

Still stuck?

Report it (see How to report a bug) with: what you were trying to download, the chat or page link, your browser and device, and a screenshot of any error. Submit a request through our contact form — typical response within 8 business hours.
