Reducing motion

Goal

Reduce animation in BoodleBox if motion is distracting or uncomfortable.

Quick path

Turn on your device's reduced motion setting. BoodleBox follows it automatically; there's nothing to change in BoodleBox.

Turn on reduced motion

  • Mac: System Settings → Accessibility → Display → Reduce motion.

  • Windows: Settings → Accessibility → Visual effects → turn off Animation effects.

  • iPhone and iPad: Settings → Accessibility → Motion → Reduce Motion.

  • Android: Settings → Accessibility → Remove animations (the name varies by device).

What changes

  • Scrolling jumps straight to its destination instead of gliding.

  • Celebration animations, such as confetti, are skipped.

  • Short confirmations, such as "Code resent", stay on screen for their full time so you can read them.

What still moves

Menus, drawers and dialogs still use a short opening transition of less than half a second.

Still stuck?

If an animation still bothers you with reduced motion on, please tell us where. See Requesting accommodations or reporting an accessibility issue.
