Accessible branding for workspace admins

Goal

Brand your workspace without making it harder to read.

What BoodleBox does for you

  • Your brand color stays on buttons and highlights. Where it's used as a fill, such as a primary button, the text on it is chosen to stay readable.

  • Text gets its own shade. Links and other colored text don't use your brand color directly. BoodleBox works out a shade of it that meets the 4.5:1 contrast minimum, separately for light and dark mode. This works for any color, so you don't need to test it yourself.

  • Avatars stay neutral. Your brand color is never used as an avatar background, so people's initials stay readable.

Choosing colors

  • You can set a separate brand color for light mode and dark mode. Pick the shade that looks right on each background; BoodleBox handles text contrast.

  • Very light colors make light-mode buttons feel washed out, and very dark colors do the same in dark mode. Preview both modes in branding settings before you save.

For the steps to set colors and logos, see How to brand your workspace (logos & colors).

Logos

Your logo is shown as an image. Make sure it reads clearly on both a light and a dark background, and keep any wording in it short.
