How to create a Box

Goal

Make a new Box in a few seconds. All it needs is a name; you can add everything else afterward.

Quick path

1. Click Boxes in the main menu.

2. Click New Box.

3. Type a name and click Create.

Step-by-step

1. Click Boxes in the main menu, just below Chats. It has a Beta label. This opens the Boxes page, which lists every Box you're in.

2. Click New Box. The Name your new box window opens.

3. Type a name and click Create. Pick something your team will recognize, like Biology 101 or Q4 launch. Names can be up to 200 characters.

4. You land in your new Box. You're its owner. From here you can set it up and invite people.

Other ways to create a Box

• From inside another Box: click the Box icon at the top left (the box switcher) and choose New Box.

• From a chat you already have: open the chat's menu, choose Move to Box, then Create New Box. This makes the Box and moves the chat into it in one step.

Verify it's working

• The Box's name shows at the top of the page.

• The Box appears on the Boxes page under Your Boxes.
