How to find and manage your Boxes

Goal

Find any Box you're in, switch between them, rename one, or delete one you own.

Quick path

  1. Click Boxes in the main menu.

  2. Use the tabs, search and sort to find the Box you want.

  3. Open its menu (the three dots) to Rename, Share or Delete it.

The Boxes page

  • Tabs: All Boxes, Your Boxes (Boxes you created) and Shared with Me (Boxes someone else created).

  • Search: type part of a Box's name.

  • Sort: Last updated, Date created or Alphabetical. Turn on Group by type to split your own Boxes from shared ones.

  • View: switch between Card view and List view. BoodleBox remembers your choice on that browser.

Each Box shows its name, when it was last updated, and who's in it.

Switch between Boxes

Inside a Box, click the Box icon at the top left (Switch Box). The menu lists Your Boxes and Shared with Me, plus New Box. The Boxes link at the top of the Box's sidebar takes you back to the Boxes page.

Rename a Box

Open the Box's menu and choose Rename, type the new name and click Save. Anyone in the Box can rename it. To change the description too, use Box Settings; see How to write instructions for a Box.

Delete a Box

Only the owner can delete a Box. Open its menu and choose Delete, then confirm in the Delete box window.

Deleting a Box can't be undone. Everyone loses access to all of its chats and knowledge, including chats they started themselves. If you want to keep a chat, its owner can use Remove from Box first to move it back to their regular chat list, or Download Transcript to save a copy.

On a phone

Inside a Box, tap Chats in this box to open the sidebar. Dragging chats into folders works on larger screens only; on a phone, use Move to Folder in the chat's menu.

Verify it's working

  • A renamed Box shows its new name on the Boxes page and at the top of the Box.

  • A deleted Box no longer appears on the Boxes page.
