Merging duplicate accounts

Goal

Consolidate two BoodleBox accounts into one — for example, if you signed up with a personal email and later need to use your institutional email.

Why this happens

You're identified by your email address, so you can end up with two accounts when:

  • You signed up once with a personal email and again with an institutional one.
  • Your single sign-on / identity-provider email doesn't match the email on your original account.

How to consolidate

There's no self-serve "merge" button — the team handles it:

  1. Email success@boodle.ai from one of the two accounts.
  2. List both email addresses and say which one you want to keep.
  3. Mention anything important on the other account — consolidating may involve removing the duplicate account and its data, so flag any chats, bots, or files you don't want to lose.
  4. The team confirms and consolidates the accounts for you.

Verify it's working

  • You can sign in with the email you chose to keep, and your team/access is intact.
