Optimizing knowledge files
Goal
Get faster, more accurate results from the documents you attach to a chat or bot.
Tips
- Stay within the limits. Up to 10 documents per chat (and within that, up to 5 CSV/XLSX files). Size limits: images and spreadsheets up to 10 MB; all other files up to 100 MB.
- Attach only what's relevant. Fewer, on-topic files give sharper answers than a large pile of loosely related ones.
- Use text-based files, not photos of text. A PDF or DOCX with real, selectable text reads far better than a scanned image or screenshot of a page.
- Want the whole file read? You don't have to ask for it. Every question already searches your complete document, and when a task needs the full text — a complete review, a consolidation, an exact quote — BoodleBox loads the whole document automatically. Just say what you want plainly: "review the entire document", "quote the exact wording". (See How BoodleBox reads your documents.)
- Updated a file? Remove the old version from the bot's/chat's Knowledge and start a new chat — an existing chat keeps the old content.
Verify it's working
- The AI cites the right, current document and responds promptly.
