Best practices for formatting documents

Goal

Prepare and format documents so BoodleBox reads them accurately.

Use a supported, text-based format

• Supported formats: .pdf, .docx, .txt, .csv, .xlsx, .pptx, .png, .jpg.
• Size limits: images and spreadsheets up to 10 MB; all other files up to 100 MB.
• Prefer real text over images of text. A document with selectable text (a normal PDF/DOCX) reads far better than a scanned page or photo. If your PDF is a scan, run it through OCR or use the original text file.

Structure it for clarity

• Use clear headings and sections so the AI can locate the right part.
• Keep a file focused on one topic where you can — it retrieves better than one giant mixed file.
• Put tabular data in .csv or .xlsx, not pasted into a paragraph.

You don't need to pick a read mode
